Little Lady Lavender

Literature Text
She's an intensely deep girl,
swimming leagues below
the surface; she says she's not
deep and asks why it's called a
sunrise or sunset.
Her eyes are filled with
childish wonder with every
word, smell (every breath
of you), and she
twirls her golden hair like
she could spin it into wool.
She's every dirty little
secret, every dark little
lie because the sun neither
rises nor sets, and they've
got you fooled
(but the world still keeps
turning; traveling).
She's the dream
you forgot you were chasing.

Though it doesn't do it any justice, her piece enticed me to write the feminine side with a similar theme. I enjoyed a momentary break in the block. Thank's sweetheart!

Little boy blueHe's a freshwater boy,.
dripping glistening smiles
from the tips of his rusted hair.
He says he's not a ginger
and paints freckles on his neck
with thickening water paints
because he knows I like them misshaped.
He's a dream-catcher,
wrapping himself too tightly
then spiraling out of control,
taking my thoughts with him,
promising they would never come back
[never be of another].
He's my open window,
through which I land back-first
onto enveloping fields
and consuming hills.
He's an adventure
I haven't awoken to yet.
Though it doesn't do it any justice, her piece enticed me to write the feminine side with a similar theme. I enjoyed a momentary break in the block. Thank's sweetheart!
